Our Story
In 2024 our founders, Jace and Kaitlin Carter, being sick of their corporate lives decided to quit their jobs and move to the beautiful land down under, Australia. With aspirations to see the coast, they bought a Landcruiser and left Sydney for waves and the laid back lifestyle. Jace and Kait surfed the east coast of Aus for a few months before stopping and settling down in Airlie Beach, Queensland.
After settling down in the Airlie Beach in the Whitsundays. Jace got a job with PGDM garage doors. PGDM is one of Australia's premier garage door manufacturers. Jace fell in love with their product, manufacturing process and attention to detail. Jace learned everything he could about making stunning garage doors from PGDM before heading back down the coast and eventually back to the states. (Thanks Dale & the PGDM fam, if you need a door down under hit them up!)
After returning to the states and doing some research. Jace realized that there was a major lack of high end custom garage door manufacturers. And above that, no one build anything near to the quality or look that was done in Aus. Flush mount doors are unheard of here. With that knowledge, Jace started Whitehaven door with the promise to bring the quality and craftmanship of the Aus doors to the states. Keeping the quality but adding the caliber and distinction of being made in the USA.

Now, why Whitehaven?

Our name comes from one of the most beautiful beaches in the entire world. Whitehaven Beach on Whitsunday Island in the Whitsundays. 99% pure white silica beach in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. Like Whitehaven Beach, Whitehaven Doors will accept nothing less than perfection from ourselves. Bringing you a superior product.
